One of our favorite activities while going to William & Mary was strolling through "downtown" and enjoying the living museum that is Colonial. Be sure to check out the Governor's Mansion, Courthouse, and Chapel scattered throughout the strip.

The Cheese Shop is an amazing mini-market and deli that serves up the best sandwiches in town. Located right in between Colonial Williamsburg and the College of William & Mary, the Cheese Shop is a favorite to both locals and tourists. Whatever you order, make sure it includes their famous house dressing.

The site of our first date! This restaurant quickly became a favorite of ours and is certainly one of our first stops whenever we're in town. Serving up elevated barbeque, a fantastic burger option, and a variety of craft beers brewed in house, we're sure you'll love it too.

If a good time is more your flavor, try their sister beer hall, Precarious, located nearby.

This gorgeous vineyard and spacious winery offers tours and sampling of their award wining wines. Grabbing a bottle of wine with friends and enjoying their outdoor seating areas always makes for a fun afternoon.

Although we only discovered this small oyster house late into our W&M careers, it instantly became a must-stop whenever we're in town. Serving a great selection of tacos, seafood, and, of course, oysters it's easy to see why.

The Virginia Beer Company, another one of Williamsburg's breweries, is located right down the road and routinely offers live music throughout the day.
